The Package participated in the Reasonable Doubt remix project with some of the finest producers and emcees in the DMV area (remaking “Bring It On”). This project represents the second installment of a daring remix series (the first volume remixed/remade Illmatic) that challenges talented producers to take the original samples from songs on a classic record and flip them, as well as challenging emcees to bring new verses to match the intensity of the original lyrics. It makes the familiar brand new again. Keep an eye out for this project and if you’re in the DC area on March 26th, drop into the Expo (1928 9th St NW, off 9th and U) to see these tracks performed live! In other DMV news, the “Warning” video by The Package feat. Grap Luva, Enoch and Kokayi (produced by Surock) is nominated for a Best Video DMV Award at the DMV EMA’s. Video director NasJota is also nominated for Best Video Director.

The Package is scheduled to perform at the DMV EMA’s award show on March 29th, 7pm at the Hampton Conference Center, 207 W. Hampton Place, Capitol Heights MD.

Let me also take this time to thank all the blogs (like Flawless Hustle and Funkadelic Freestyles) who have shown love to the “Warning” video.
