A Tale of Two Murders: The Package Slaughters Almaz

Watch Part 1 and Part 2 of The Package decimating the stage at Almaz above. The crowd was hype and Enoch got them even hyper with his “1, 2, 3 Theory drop that shit!” chant in Part 2…

The song order is as follows:

What You Sipping On?

Your Time Is Up

Cold World

Final Warning (feat. Enoch 7th Prophet)

__

“Final Warning”, of course, is still available for free download as part of the 20 track “Double R: Remixes and Rarities” project at http://tinyurl.com/pkgrmx2

The first three songs will be included on the forthcoming second album from The Package, “The It Factor”

NEW MUSIC: Dimes’ Debut Solo Single, “Chardonnay”

<a href="http://thepackage.bandcamp.com/track/chardonnay">Chardonnay by The Package</a>

You might have seen Phonte and Foreign Exchange live onstage backed by a band called The El’s, but did you know that the guitarist from The El’s is also a dope producer in his own right? If not, allow me to present to you the sounds of Omar Retnuh a/k/a Mr. HU*. Omar produced this incredible new Dimensions solo track, “Chardonnay” off of his upcoming solo album, “Slanguage (Brain Cell.a.bration)”. We leaked this track late last year, but here it is for download! Album dropping sooner than you expect!

About the track: Dimes presents a somewhat humorous ode to veteran artists who have resorted to making more complaints than music, their sour grapes aging into not-so-fine wine (LOL).

Produced by Mr. HU (a/k/a Omar Retnuh)
Recorded and Mixed by Theory

* Astute music lovers should already be familiar with the sounds of Omar Retnuh, since he produced the Urban Ave 31 mixtapes that garnered DMV soul singer Raheim DeVaughn much of his early buzz. Prior to that, Omar held it down as the key producer and a key emcee in the crew The Remainz, alongside yU (now part of critically acclaimed trio Diamond District) and Omun.

Exhibit Spirit

NahRight.com had a contest to remix Jay Electronica’s “Exhibit C” by December 28th. I missed the deadline due to a range of factors but I figured I would share “Exhibit Spirit” with you all, anyway. Recorded by world class studio engineer Theory, invaluable encouragement to re-lay my vocals properly with one last take from Dimes….ha

Jay started following me on Twitter shortly after I sent him this, I’m gonna let my ego connect those two possibly unrelated dots. LOL.

Would love to hear what y’all think…

ps: There are no ad libs in the beginning because I hate ad libs. LOL.
